Kota Srinivasa Rao passed away in the early hours of this morning at the age of 83.
He was born on 19 July 1942 and starred in over 750 films in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi.
Although his mother tongue was Telugu, Kota Srinivasa Rao acted in 32 Tamil films, often playing the villain. His films include Samy, Kuthu, Jore, Thirupaachi, Paramasivan, Sathyam, Ko, Thaandavam, Thalaivan and Samy 2. He also played numerous comedy roles, including his role in All in all Azhagu Raja.
As a dubbing artist, he frequently dubbed for Manivannan and Goundamani in the Telugu dubbed versions of their hit films.
The funeral of Kota Srinivasa Rao was attended by many well-known personalities of the Telugu film world, including SS Rajamouli, Pawan Kalyan, Chiranjeevi, Ravi Teja and Mohan Babu were among those who personally paid their last respects to the actor.
