Today marks the 14th death anniversary of actress Sujatha who passed away on 06 April 2011 at the age of 58. The actress had retired from acting five years before her passing as she was suffering from renal failure which placed severe strain on her heart. Two months before her passing, she had a pacemaker implanted but her heart condition deteriorated.
Sujatha was a Malayalee actress who was born in Galle, Sri Lanka. She moved to Chennai when she was 15. She made her debut to the Tamil screen through K. Balachander’s Aval oru Thodarkathai. She shared the screen with Sivaji Ganesan, R. Muthuraman, Sivakumar, Kamalhaasan, Rajinikanth, Sarathkumar, Prabhu Deva, Ajith Kumar and Arjun, Her last Tamil film was Ajith Kumar’s Varalaru.
