Actor Ravikumar passes away at age 71.

Character artist and TV actor Ravikumar has passed away at the age of 71. He had been battling lung cancer for some time.

A Malayalee actor, he made his screen debut as a lead actor in the Malayalam film, Ullaasa Yaathra. He made his Tamil debut in K. Balachander’s 1977 movie, Avargal, which had Kamalhaasan, Rajinikanth and Sujatha in the lead roles. He played a variety of roles on the big screen and his films included Rojavanam, Youth, Maaran, Ramana, Leysa Leysa and Sivaji.

He was also a familiar face on various TV channels and played a variety of roles in well-known serials like Chiththi, Vani Rani, Kasthuri, Aranmanai Killi and Chellama.

Ravikumar passed away at a Chennai hospital on the evening of 04 April 2025.
