The announcement of a film has taken on another level of late, with elaborate videos that almost resemble a full trailer.
The latest film that enjoyed this introduction is the aptly titled Idhayam Murali, an obvious homage to the late Murali who is best remembered for his iconic role in the 1991film, Idhayam. Playing the lead role in Idhayam Murali is the late Murali’s son, Atharva opposite Preity Mukundhan who made her Tamil debut opposite Kavin tin the film Star. The supporting cast includes Thaman S, Natty Subramaniam, Rakshan and Sudhakar.
This film marks the fourth production of Dawn Pictures, none of which have been released to date. The other three movies are Dhanush’s Idly Kadai, Silambarasan’s 49th film andSivakarthikeyan’s Sudha Kongara directorial, Parasakthi.
Thaman S, who returns to acting in this film, scores the music.
