Ajithkumar’s first collaboration with director Magizh Thirumeni – Vidaa Muyarchi – has proven to be a hugely successful one.
The film entered 100 crores worldwide early on its third day and recorded USD 750 000 in the same period in North America, making the 1 million dollar-mark within easy access.
Many Tamil Nadu complexes had sold-out shows and Saturday saw an increase in family audiences in theatres.
Despite the lack of typical “mass” elements in the film, audiences have largely taken to the strong characterisation, the moving love story, the tense suspense and brilliant acting performances.
Vidaa Muyarchi in South Africa is being screened in Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg.
