Nirosha is the youngest daughter of the legendary actor MR Radha and sister of Radhika and Radharavi. Born on 30 January 1971 in Kandy, she developed an early affinity to films and was cast by Maniratnam in the 1988 film Agni Natchthiram, followed soon after Kamalhaasan’s Soora Samhaaram.
She enjoyed a very prolific period in the 1990s. She controversially married co-actor Ramki and then left the film industry for a while before returning to play character rols.
Her last Tamil film was Rajinikanth’s Lal Salaam.
