Ajith Kumar takes the world stage

It is a proud day for Indians and for Tamilians in particular when Ajithkumar and his team took third place in the 991 category at the Dubai 24H 2025 this week as well as winning the Spirit of the Race ward in the GT4 category.

Ajith Kumar launched Ajith Kumar Racing last September and has put in many hours of hard work with his team to reach this stage. Fans of the popular actor would know that he has always shown a love for motorcycles and cars despite numerous injuries he has suffered as a result of this passion. This resolute spirit has also seen him execute his own stunts in film.

The Dubai 24H is a 24-hour endurance race held annually at the Dubai Autodrome. Ajith Kumar selflessly pulled out from the race after crashing his car at 180 km/h during a practice run four days ago. He escaped from the incident unhurt but wanted to ensure that his team gets the best possible chance of being placed.

When taking the winners’ podium in third place with his team, Ajithkumar proudly waved the Indian flag.

The thousands of film fans who thronged to the venue to get a glimpse of their favourite actor took journalists and other participants by surprise. Fans of the actor have been proudly quoting the words of one of the commentators who remarked, “This is a bigger entourage than Brad Pitt at Daytona which says something.”

Among the many fans present was actor R Madhavan who also got to personally congratulate Ajith Kumar. During his speech after the event, Ajith Kumar thanked his team, his family, his friends and everyone else who supported him, reserving a special thanks to his wife, Shalini.

Ajith Kumar’s message to his fans (spoken in Tamil) has gone viral, encouraging people to believe in themselves, interact positively, look after their families, to be sincere in their jobs and to practice discipline.

Ajith Kumar may had mixed success at the box-office, but he is an amazing example of never being dampened by mishaps and challenges. His film career was halted twice because of injuries sustained because of his passion for racing and the resultant medical care wreaked havoc with his body – but he overcame all of that with a simple but unswerving belief in himself and his dreams – A powerful lesson for everyone.
