Impact of the song

This is clearly a mass song and there is little doubt that it will soon be a trending song. However, musically, this is hugely disappointing and certainly does not match the pre-release piece that promised a song that was rich in creative arrangements.

Vocal rendition

If the intention was to create an earthy, rural feel to the song, the choice of Anthony Daasan was a good one, but one will need to see the picturisation (in the film) to eventually decide on the aptness of the selection.

Lyrics

Don’t expect any poetry or complex metaphors in a song that is geared only to be a mass song. As a fun song, it delivers exactly what is required of the lyrics.

Final Analysis

Sawadeeka is definitely a catchy and trendy song and is likely to be a huge hit, but the rhythm and instrumentation shows very little creativity and was therefore a huge disappointment for me.
