Song Title : Kaadhal Sadugudu
Film/Album : Madraskaaran
Singer/s : Adithya RK
Music : AR Rahman (Original), Nandhagopan V (Reimagined)
Impact of the Song
This is probably one of the newest songs to be remixed and the result is far from satisfying. When one has an excellent singer and the kind of technology available today, the very least one can expect is some improvement on the original – even if it is improved percussion or rhythms. Unfortunately, this song has none of this and relies only on the sensuality of the video to drive views.
Vocal Rendition
Adithya RK is one of the most exciting discoveries of late, but one would not give him much credit if this song had been his first rendition. It is unfathomable how such a voice could be mi-used but music composer Nandhagopan has achieved just that.
Lyrics
Vairamuthu’s original lyrics remain untouched and seems to belnd remarkably well with the new picturisation.
Final Analysis
Those who have heard (and loved) the original would be bitterly disappointed with this remixed version that has done nothing to augment the song in any way.
