The Chennai High Court has cleared Jana Nayagan for release with a U/A certificate (equivalent to a PG certificate), clearing the way for the film’s release.
This follows an official announcement of postponement earlier this week after the Central Board of Film Certification did not issue a certificate for the film.
It is likely that the film could release later today (Friday, 09 Jan 2026). However, the fate of the film on global screens remains uncertain as many multiplexes had pulled out the film and found a replacement.
