Sid Sriram was born in Chennai on 19 May 1990 and moved with his family when he was one to Fremont, California in the United States.
He began learning Carnatic music at the age of 3, with his first teacher being his mother, Latha Sriram.
He graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in music production and technology.
He made his explosive entry onto the playback singing area with the smash hit, Adiye from Maniratnam’ Kadal under the music of A.R. Rahman.
He has since sung under the music of all major music composers and currently has songs in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Marathi and English.
He made his debut as a music composer in Maniratnam’s Vaanam Kottattum. He has also collaborated with various artists across genres and languages.
He currently resides in Chennai.
