Song : Pathikichu (Title Song)
Film/Album : Vidaa Muyarchi
Singers : Anirudh Ravichander & Yogi Sekar
Lyrics : Vishnu Edavan. Rap by Amogh Balaji
Music : Anirudh Ravichander
Impact of the song
A catchy beat to this title song that has striking similarities with other theme or title songs by Anirudh Ravichander.
Vocal rendition
Anirudh once again takes centre stage with the title song from Vidaa Muyarchi which has the official title Pathikichu. Yogi Sekar stays within the commercial raps with his rap that is likely to play a prominent role in the film.
Musical Arrangement
The music is well-layered and has rich instrumentation but sounds too similar to many of Anirudh’s team songs. Perhaps it would make a difference if he starts to use other singers in these songs.
Lyrics
Vishnu Edavan’s Tamil lyrics are very good and it’s philosophical base adds charm to the words.
Final Analysis
This will definitely be a chart-busting song, but music enthusiasts would want a lot more from Anirudh – a young man who has been regarded as a trend-setter for the Tamil music industry. This song falls well short of a trend-setter.
