A legal notice has been sent from the copyright owners of Rajinikanth’s Chandramukhi to Nayanthara, Vignesh Shivan and Netflix India claiming 5 crores settlement for the use of unauthorized footage from the film in the much publicised Netflix documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale.
This is according to director and journalist, Chithra Lakshmanan. The claim states that nobody had approached them for an NOC (No Objection Certificate) for the use of the film footage and that such action should have been done before the release of the documentary on Netflix.
Whether this is true or not, the surfacing of this news now means more publicity for the documentary that did not get the expected viewers on Netflix.
