One of the rapidly ascending singers of recent times is Adithya RK. He is the son of film and TV actress Meera Krishnan and his father, Krishnan, runs the Sruthilaya recording studio. Adhithya’s paternal grandfather is the music legend, K. Veeramani (also the father of popular singer, Veeramani Kannan)
Adithya came into the public eye when he participated in the eighth season of Vijay TV’s Super Singer. He was eventually eliminated. Although greatly disappointed, he focused on singing and composing until given his big break by Anirudh Ravichander to sing the song Bae from Sivakarthikeyan’s blockbuster movie, Don.
Even after securing this deal, Adithya felt that the playback industry was far too competitive to expect further breaks and he continued his focus on independent music. However, recording deals did come his way. A huge fan of A.R. Rahman, his dream came true when Rahman asked him to sing the song Lavendar Nirame from Ravi Mohan’s Kaadhalikka Neramillai.
With acting being one of his aspirations, Adhitya RK’s popularity continues to soar and it is now only a matter of time before his acting break comes to fruition.
Adithya turns 26 today.
