Sivakarthikeyan’s film for director AR Murugadoss now has a title – Madharasi, described by Sivakarthikeyan as a high octane action thriller, confirmed by the poster design.
The title was revealed today – 17 February 2025 – on Sivakarthikeyan’s 40th birthday.
Made on a budget of 200 crores, the film also stars Rukmini Vasanth, Vidyut Jammwal, Biju Menon, Vikranth (cousin of actor Vijay), Shabeer Kallarakal, Sanjay and Sachana Namidas. Anirudh Ravichander scores the music.
Whilst it looks like Sivakarthikeyan is taking the handing of the gun scene in The GOAT very seriously, the fact is that the recent concentration on action themes has been co-incidental and does not reflect a move to become an action star. Instead, Sivakarthikeyan wants to try a variety of roles.
